Festival of Trees: Nov. 28- Dec. 5
Our third annual Christmas Tree Auction will be taking place at the Barbara Clevenger Johnson Gallery and the Roxy Theater beginning the day after Thanksgiving and ending on Dec. 5, with the Christmas in the Mountains community celebration. We will have 18 trees, donated by the good folks at Bear Canyon Tree Farm, and decorated by our area merchants and organizations. In addition, we will have several beautifully decorated wreaths. Each tree and wreath beautifully captures the spirit of Christmas! The public will be able to place a bid on their favorite during a week long silent auction. Just look for the bidding card attached to each tree. The bidding is officially over at 7 pm, when the Roxy Theater will host a free Christmas film. The lucky winners will have their trees delivered on Dec. 6. Visit us from 11 am - 5 pm to participate in our silent auction and vote for your favorite tree.
Your support makes it possible to provide access to the arts year round to the residents of Lewis County.

Gallery Building Sign!
Efforts are underway to complete the final stages of a building sign letting visitors know the BCJ Gallery is alive and well in Morton, WA. Local artist, John Urbas, is currently working on completion of the project and we are looking forward to giving the front of our building a wonderful new look as well as much needed advertisement. Keep checking back. The photo of the Gallery on our home page will change as soon as the sign is installed.
*update* 06/03/08: Sign is completed and thanks to Randle Woods and Bruce Roberts, the sign is up!!! We will be taking pictures and updating our photo on the home page as soon as some patch work on the building is completed. Thanks to all who made it possible!
1st Annual Christmas Tree Contest and Auction-Dec. 2007
Our First Annual Christmas Tree Auction was an overwhelming success! Seventeen beautifully decorated trees by local merchants, brought us nearly $3000 dollars in much needed donations. We were also pleased to donate $206 dollars to the recent flood relief efforts in Lewis County. Thank you to all that made this happen. Looks like we will be doing this again next year. I hear several merchants are already planning next years tree.
By popular vote, the winning tree was the "Tree of Hope", sponsored by Daisys Won't Tell beauty salon and dedicated to breast cancer awareness. This all pink tree was indeed not only beautiful but also inspirational.
Enjoy.......Bette Davis and a bit of mascara!
